Enjoy this free crochet poncho pattern with its easy stitch repetition. Oversized and elegant, the 5th Avenue Poncho is the right amount of sophistication and comfort. This poncho involves absolutely zero seaming, making this is the perfect WIP for those binging your favorite show or when you simply need a mindless project.

I often find my inspiration for my designs from clothing I see people wear around me and clothing I see on Pinterest. There is something so satisfying about crochet a garment that doesn’t have that “homemade look” (you know the one I’m talking about haha).
I noticed that the waffle stitch was popping up everywhere in stores in all of the clothes. Ever since I discovered a love for crocheting the waffle stitch last spring, I have always wanted to design something with the beautiful stitch!

I decided to go out of my design comfort zone and create something I normally would not design – a poncho!
I am normally the one who wears/designs basic, simple pieces. But I must say, I am really smitten with this statement garment!

But my favorite part about this poncho is that it is being featured on the Make and Do Crew blog! It has been a dream come true to work with Jess and Lion Brand Yarn! Head on over to the M&DC blog for the free pattern!
