The Best Places To Buy Yarn Online + My Top 3 Favorites!

Facebook0Tweet0Pin0

Overwhelmed with all of the places to buy yarn online? In this blog post you’ll find an extensive list of places to buy yarn along with my top 3 favorite places to buy yarn online!

I order my yarn almost exclusively online. This is due to the fact that I don’t have easy access to stores near me that sell yarn. But I honestly don’t mind, because ordering yarn online is so quick and convenient!

Ordering yarn online allows me to try so many more yarns that I never would’ve been able to previously try. However, buying yarn online can be an overwhelming process, especially if you don’t know where to start! So to make the process easier for you, I have compiled a versatile list of places to order yarn online!

All of these places range in price, fiber, and brands to accommodate everyone’s preferences!

Below is a quick list of some great places to order yarn from! Continue to scroll down for details about my top 3 favorite places!

The Best Places to Order Yarn Online

  • Lovecrafts
  • WeCrochet
  • Lion Brand
  • Yarnspirations
  • Amazon
  • Knitting for Olive
  • We Are Knitters
  • Wool and the Gang
  • Darn Good Yarn
  • Hobbii

Lovecrafts

Lovecrafts is hands down one of my favorite places to order yarn online. They offer a huge selection of brands and types of yarn. Lovecrafts offers some of the more popular brands like Lion Brand and Bernat while also offering more exclusive brands like MillaMia and Debbie Bliss.

But don’t let the wide selection overwhelm you! Their website is well organized, making it easy to navigate the different options. The yarns come in a range of prices, making it affordable for everyone!

Best Qualities
  • Extensive Price Range (Great for every budget!)
  • Large selection of brands (Order all of your favorite brands at once!)
  • Significant variety of weights, colors and fibers
  • Ships worldwide

WeCrochet

I just discovered WeCrochet less than a year ago, but they have quickly become one of my go-to brands for purchasing yarn. A majority of the yarn is from their own WeCrochet line, which is exclusive to their website. The yarns that belong to the WeCrochet brand are all excellent quality at very affordable prices.

In recent months, WeCrochet has begun to expand their selection and they have started to sell other brands that aren’t apart of the WeCrochet line. I was thrilled when I found out they would be offering some Lion Brand yarns, because this meant that I would be able to purchase two of my favorite brands of yarn in one place!

Best Qualities
  • Affordable prices
  • Great staple yarns
  • Free shipping on orders over $35 (US only)
  • Most yarns are only available on their website

What can I say? I love Lion Brand yarn! I have been crocheting with their yarn since the beginning, and I am frequently ordering yarn from their website. The only yarns available on their website, is yarns that are apart of the Lion Brand line, however because there are some many options you don’t even notice!

In addition to the Lion Brand classics like WETQ and 24/7 Cotton, they sell the LB Collection which is affordable luxury yarns that are only available on the Lion Brand website. I appreciate how Lion Brand offers a wide variety of yarns that range in price, fiber, and color!

Best Qualities
  • Luxury yarn at more affordable prices (the LB collection is only available on their website)
  • Offers many unique yarns along with the staples!
  • Ships worldwide

Hello Grace😊 ! WeCrochet is actually KnitPicks yarn . They started WeCrochet about 2 years ago for crocheters. Their Dishie yarn, 100% cotton is awesome . It comes in skeins or cones for a excellent price. I can’t say enough about it ! They have a lot of beautiful colors to choose from that does not fade and is very very durable. I usually knit my dish clothes with the seed stitch . Happy crocheting / knitting 🧶
    Oh! check out yarn at:
    Herrschners
    Smileys yarn

Thanks for the suggestions! Yes I have always known about KnitPicks, but I never ordered their yarn until they started their sister brand, WeCrochet. And I also love their Dishie yarn, I have used it in several of my patterns! 🙂
