I made the Forager Cardigan out of WeCrochet Gloss DK in the color Rosemary. Appropriately named, Gloss DK has a slight shine that offers unbelievable softness. This yarn provides warmth and drape, which is oh-so-important when crocheting a garment! For being categorized as a #3 yarn, this yarn is on the thicker side, making this cardigan quick to work up.

Thank you to WeCrochet for providing the yarn for this project.
I bought yarn 10 years ago on holiday in USA. I have been keeping it, waiting for the perfect pattern. Now I have it. Thank you!
I can’t wait to start this pattern! It’s absolutely beautiful. I’m curious though, when the measurement for the bust (size small) is 33in, is that designed to fit a 33in bust, or is 33in the actual width of the bust of the sweater? Hopefully that question makes sense! I just can’t decide if I should do the small or the medium!
Ada,
Yay! I can’t wait for you to make this sweet sweater! It is designed to approximately fit a 33in bust. But remember there is positive easy! I hope this helps!

I was wondering if you just use a tapestry needle to sew tje panels together or if you slip stitch them together?
Hello Angelica,
I like to use a tapestry needle, but you can slip stitch them together if that is your preferred method!
Hello, I was looking over this pattern and absolutely fell in love with it. although for the front panels I saw we are instructed to chain 37 but in the next row end up in 30 (I am making a small) so I was wondering if we have to only chain 30 or how that works before I make it so i don’t mess it up
im so sorry I was reading the instructions roong 🥲 ☺️
Love the pattern and I am currently working on the sleeves. I’m confused about the rounds on the sleeve that are never joined. Do I sew that up after? There are no instructions to do that which added to my confusion. Can I start the sleeve off the cardigan.? I’m not getting the best result with the rounds. The underside seems bulky. I would aprrieciate any help.
This is just gorgeous! Is there any chance of there being a video tutorial for this?
Thank you! Unfortunately, I don’t have a video tutorial at this time.
Hi! Love this pattern and so far super easy to understand, but I had a question about the sleeves. When starting the sleeves, it says to start on the wrong side – does that mean starting with the cardigan inside out? Or does that indicate I should be working towards the back or the front first?
Yes, it means starting inside out:)
I can’t wait to make this cardigan! I was wondering if there is any way to make it a little bit longer? Is it ok if I just do a few extra rows before decreasing?
Hi, I’ve started this project and have completed the back panel. I’m struggling to understand the start of the front panel. I am making the size Medium – chain 37, row 1 = 42 stitches. How do I get from 37 to 42 stitches, I wonder if I should chain 42? Please can you clarify?
Thank you 😊
Hello Sarah! That’s a typo… I forgot to put the rest of the chain counts in the pattern. I’ll fix that right now:)
Hi. I’m just starting (and I’m a bit of a novice) and I’ve never crocheted into the 3rd loop of the hdc. I can’t work out, from googling it, whether I should go in front or behind to find the 3rd loop.
Hello Sarah! This tutorial explains the stitch well https://youtu.be/ieNWoyuObT0?si=etwDKB0SwZsOQU3w
Hi! I just wanted to ask, when you say 1 hdc in 2 stitches do you mean decrease?
Hello Sim
What part of the pattern are you referencing?
The sleeves, it says hdc tog so does that mean hdc 2 together/ decrease?
Also, at the end of each round of the sleeves, do you need to slip sitch into the first stitch of that round?
Thanks!
