This crochet mesh market bag is the right amount of durability while still being lightweight and breezy. Use the sweet Forêt Market Bag as a sustainable way to shop! Made with bulky yarn this bag works up extremely quickly and it is so much fun to crochet!

Spend a Saturday morning strolling by the stalls at a farmers market with the Forêt Market Bag. Intentionally made with a sturdy base, confidently store your purchases of fresh produce and handmade items with no fear of the bag giving way!
This market bag is a unique take on the traditional crochet mesh market bag. The lovely, mesh-inspired stitch pattern is just a 2 row repeat and it’s so addicting to crochet! The Forêt Bag is made with bulky weight yarn to ensure stability, but also too add statement element to this bag. The bulky yarn creates large, dramatic stitches that creates a fresh, modern look.

I think I may have found my newest obsession with designing crochet bags (see here and here). Crochet bags are truly so much fun to make and they are so practical! The styles and stitch patterns for a crochet bag are endless and you can make a crochet bag that perfectly matches your style.
I intentionally made the Summer Harvest bag to not have an excessive amount of holes so that you can comfortably put small items in the bag, without them falling out. However, with the Forêt Market Bag, I wanted it to be a little more meshy. If you are wanting to put small items in this bag, I definitely recommend putting them in a small pouch and then putting the pouch into the bag.

Along with my crochet bag obsession, I must also have an obsession with using Lion Brand Rewind yarn for bags since this is my third bag made from this yarn! This yarn is my absolute favorite yarn for crochet bags! It is so soft to touch, making it really enjoyable to work with! But when crocheted, this yarn becomes really durable, great for the pressure that will be placed on the yarn as a bag! Rewind comes in some lovely colors and some of my favorites colors in this line include Olive you (what I made this bag out of!), Greige, and Mahogany Rose.

On one side of the bottom fold to create a point. Sew on the line (approximately 2 inches from the point).

Fold the triangle back to the inside of the bag and seam on the lines to secure the triangle down.

Repeat on the other side.
