This chunky ribbed pumpkin pattern is a great way to a rustic fall touch to a space while being quick and easy to crochet! Included in this pattern are two different pumpkin sizes along with photos on how to assemble these sweet pumpkins!

As I have started to notice signs of Autumn, my excitement for this beautiful season continues to grow as I readily wait for the cool days of wearing oversized sweaters and cozying up under a blanket with a cup of chai tea. While I am not much of a seasonal decorator, there is one thing that I like to add to rooms to add a little bit of this cozy season and that is pumpkins!
I had every intention of just releasing one pumpkin pattern this year. But I couldn’t resist designing another rustic and cozy pumpkin pattern when Hobbii reached out and asked if I would like to try their new Umami yarn! Naturally, I jumped at the opportunity to crochet something chunky and cozy for fall!

This yarn was truly a joy to crochet with. It took me back to the first few years of crocheting, because my favorite yarn to crochet with was super bulky yarn. As I broadened my crochet horizons I discovered other kinds of yarn, and somehow super bulky yarn became an abandoned love. But I was so happy to come back to this cozy yarn weight with this yarn!
Umami is irresistibly soft and chunky, providing ultra warmth for garments and accessories and a cozy look for home decor items. Available in 26 beautiful color ways, there is a color for every style and mood! I especially adore how many of the colors are muted, allowing these colors to be used in a modern and sophisticated piece.

I really enjoyed creating these chunky and cozy pumpkins and I hope you enjoy the free pattern below!

The two different sides of the pumpkin are slightly different in there ribbed pattern. Use which ever side you like as the right side, I used the side pictured on the right.

Sl st the two sides together to create a tube

Using the tapestry needle, cinch the bottom closed

Stuff the pumpkin

Cinch the top closed leaving a small hole to fit the stem into

Dab a bit of glue onto the twig and stick it through the center

Weave in loose ends and tie a string around the stem
