I am delighted to share two of my designs that were featured in the I Like Crochet February 2022 Issue. In this post I am sharing about my own designs as well as sharing some of my favorite designs in the issue!

I find February to be a very interesting month, because once the calendar turns to this month, everybody starts thinking and preparing for spring. But where I’m from, winter is still very present. With this in mind, I think many of the designs in this issue of I Like Crochet will appeal to many people, because so many of the designs are transitional pieces that can be comfortably worn during the first few days of spring and well into the season.
I may also be biased as to how well curated this issue is because not one, but two, of my designs are featured in this issue! Below I am sharing a little bit about each of my designs that are featured as well as some of my other favorite designs in the issue!

The Sanctum Sweater

Brighten up any outfit the the Rugby Stripes Sweater. The cheery stripes nod to the bright and colorful season to come while still ensuring warmth. The dense, lacy texture featured for simplistic interest is used for the entire cardigan and it is very easy and mindless to do. Long cardigans are perfect for this time of year, because they still maintain warmth while remaining stylish. However, because of the simple construction of the garment, the length can easily be adjusted.
Lucky in Love Striped Sweater

Does it truly get any sweeter than a hear appliqué on a sweater? The Lucky in Love Striped Sweater uses basic crochet stitches, and easy construction and shaping to achieve a modern, oversized sweater. The sweater was intentionally created to be simplistic to ensure that the focus would be on the darling pocket featuring the cutest little crochet heart! If you are a beginner crocheter, I highly recommend this sweater pattern because it is truly as easy as it gets with crochet sweaters and if you’d like you can opt out of making the pocket and heart.
