2023 is the year to start getting organized! I am sharing my favorite tools I am using to stay organized this year along with how I plan on using them!

I am officially dubbing 2023 as the year of physical planners and notes! Last summer I took an unintentional hiatus from using a physical planner and for the rest of the year I just used so many random sticky notes and the notes app on my phone to keep track of my to-do lists. While it worked fine for 6 months, for 2023 I wanted to get more organized and develop systems that allow me to stay, organized and motivated! (spoiler: there is nothing more motivating than a cute planner)
There are a lot of moving parts throughout my day with my personal life, my business, and my job, so providing the space to keep everything organized is an ESSENTIAL for this year! So here are some products and tools that I am using this year to do just that!
Business/Life Planner
Is it really an organization blogpost without a planner?😆 Well this year I am using TWO different planners. The first one is this lovely planner by Golden Coil. I was attracted to their planners because they are completely customizable. I loved that I was able to select what pages I wanted to include and what type of layout. So far I am really enjoying this planner so far. For the weekly spread I love having a to-do list for each day along with additional space to write down any notes or appointments.
With their planner you can select what type of pages you would like to include in your planner. I kept mine very minimal with just the monthly pages and then the weekly spreads. But I did include some pages in the back for random notes and design ideas!

Work Planner
At first I thought I could do everything in my Golden Coil planner and then very quickly realized that that was not going to work lol. So I spent a ridiculous amount of time searching for another planner for work. The search took forever because I knew I wanted something minimal and undated. But I finally settled on this lovely planner by Floating Thistle Paper. I adore the cover and it makes me so happy every time I look at it. The one thing I don’t like is I wish it was spiral bound so that it would actually lay flat, but I make it work.
This one is similar to the Golden Coil planner because it just has the monthly and weekly spreads and some empty pages in the back (which I LOVE for taking notes for special projects I’m working). I also loving having so much room in the weekly spreads for taking notes and making to-do lists.

Note Pads
I think I am just as much a note pad/sticky notes girl as I am a planner girl. I love having additional pieces of paper that I can jot down random lists on. While I like using planners for day-to-day task lists and notes, I love using note pads for making additional lists and notes that I can either keep in my planner or somewhere else. For example, I’ve been jotting down some video and blogpost ideas and taping them towards the back of my planner. I’ve also been using these sheets to write down a list of books I would like to read this winter and taping it to my wall so I can see it everyday!
Also, look at HOW CUTE this specific note pad is by All Things Lily Ann? The owner illustrates all of the products herself and they are all so adorable!

Notion
For any online notes I would like to make or links I would like to save, I love using Notion. I have been using this program for several years now and I LOVE it. It is totally customizable and versatile for so many needs. When I was in school, I would use it to keep track of my classes and I would take my class notes in it. Now I will use it for meeting notes, and to keep track of my content that I am creating for Stitchberry. Because it is so versatile and customizable, it is a little overwhelming at first. I spent a lot of time scrolling on Pinterest and Youtube looking at different people’s set ups and templates for ideas and inspiration. But after a little bit of playing around on it, you eventually get the hang of it, and it’s so much fun! I also have a Pinterest board with Notion ideas you can check out for inspiration!

Accessories
Of course with any great organization system you need cute accessories! My favorite writing tools are these Papermate Flair pens. They are so easy and comfortable to write with! Plus having different colors are great for color coding (aka more organization! 😉)
I’m also a sucker for cute washi tape! I like to use minimal planners and then I add more own decorative details with doodles, stickers, and washing tape. A great hack I love using washi tape for is folding it over the page so I can easily flip to the current week or monthly spread.

I would love to hear how you are staying organized this year either on Instagram or in the comments below!
