This sweet crochet tulip pillow is the perfect quick spring crochet project! This pattern includes a photo tutorial and video tutorial to help you through the more difficult parts of the pattern.

One day I was casually scrolling on Instagram, and I saw this adorable crochet tulip in a girl’s instagram story. In that moment I knew that I needed a tulip pillow in my life. Naturally, I thought why buy a tulip pillow when I can crochet one? (and write a pattern, and take step-by-step photos, AND film a video tutorial for it).
As a planner, 99% of my patterns that I release, I carefully and methodically plan out. I actually think this pattern is the quickest design to go from an idea to a pattern release.
As a mentioned earlier, I wanted to make these tulips as easy as possible to crochet. While they are quick, there are a couple of tricky parts, so not only did I take step-by-step photos, but I also filmed a video tutorial that walks you through the entire process of making this pillow! (and if you know me, I don’t film video tutorials that often!).

Skill Level: Intermediate
Materials
Yarn: I used Bernat Blanket Yarn in Smokey Green for the stem. For the flower, I used Lilac, Whipped Cream, and Blush Pink
- 45 yards of super bulky (#6) weight yarn for the stem
- 80 yards of super bulky (#6) weight yarn for the flower
Hook: L/8.00mm crochet hook
Notions:
- Tapestry needle
- Polyester stuffing
- Stitch markers
Notes
- The pattern is worked in US crochet terms.
- The tulips are worked in a continous spiral (meaning you do not join at the end of each round) UNLESS otherwise noted. I recommend using a stitch marker to keep track of the beginning of round.
- The pattern is worked bottom up in the round. The leaves are sewn on after the tulip is completed.

Stuff the petal.
Round 5: Work 3 sc tog (3 sts)
Fasten off and use a tapestry needle to close the top of the petal.
Attach your yarn at the next two sections and repeat the same process.
