I just launched a collection of 3 book sleeve crochet patterns, that are all easy to crochet and totally customizable! Whether you are are a reader or you know someone who is, these are the perfect book sleeves to protect your precious books!

I’ve been an avid reader for many many years, and I felt like it was finally time to combine two of my favorite passions into one🥰. Over the past couple of years I’ve seen so many adorable crochet book sleeves, and I felt like it was time to release my own book sleeve patterns.
When I set out to design book sleeves I knew two things, they had to be incredibly easy to customize to ANY size (since books range in size so much!), and they each had to have a cute little feminine detail.
The Purpose of Book Sleeves
You may be wondering what the purpose of book sleeves are. Not only are they cute little “sweaters” for your books, but they work really well for protecting your books, specifically when you are taking them around with you. It’s the worst when you pull out your paperback book from your book, only to discover that the cover bent. The sleeves will protect your books and prevent that from happening!

Pattern Structure
I wrote these patterns differently than I have my other patterns. These patterns do not have specific stitch and row counts. The reason being every book is a different size. While I could have written 1-2 sizes in the pattern, that would only account for a very small portion of the books out there. I felt like it would be better to structure the entire pattern to be adaptable and customizable. A huge perk of writing the pattern like this, is you can easily use any yarn that you have on hand! I’ve personally used DK-bulky weight yarn for my books sleeves, but fingering and super bulky would also work well! This additionally means that it’s incredibly easy to use yarn that you already have in your stash!
But don’t worry! I have been very intentional about writing the instructions with as much detail as possible and with plenty of photos!
I will be releasing the book sleeve patterns over the next 3 weeks. Check back here each week for the link to the new pattern:)
If you are wanting to purchase the ad-free pdfs, all 3 patterns are available now as a collection.
