I’m hosting my first Crochet A-Long! Organizing a CAL has been a dream of mine for years, and I’m so excited to finally be hosting my first one, below I’m sharing all the details for the Crochet A-Long and how you can participate.
What is a Crochet A-Long?
While every CAL looks a little different, the general idea is crocheting something together as a community. It’s a wonderful way to feel connected with other crochets as we’re collectively working on the same project at the same time!
About the Crocheter’s Summer Reading CAL
Ever since I launched my In My Reading Era Book Sleeve patterns, I knew I wanted to host a CAL inspired by the book sleeves, especially after how successful the patterns are! But at the time of releasing the patterns, I simply didn’t have the time or mental capacity to organize a CAL.
But as summer is approaching, I couldn’t get the idea of hosting a reading themed CAL out of my head! Growing up, I loved participating in summer reading programs through my local library, so hosting a CAL during June just felt right:)
Details
Below are all of the details you need to know to participate!
- During the course of the CAL, everyone will be crocheting a book sleeve and reading a book!
- It is completely free to participate!
- You can crochet ANY book sleeve or E-Reader case (it doesn’t have to be one of my patterns), and you can read any book you choose!
- The CAL will run from June 1-30th
- You can crochet as many book sleeves as you’d like
- The majority of the community aspect will be happening on Instagram. Use the hashtag #crocheterssummerreadingcal (I know, I know it’s long lol), so see what other people are crocheting and reading! Also take me in your posts and stories so I can share on my account!
- Yes, there will be a a giveaway at the end of the CAL, but I’m not entirely sure what that will look like yet🙃
- Additionally, starting now through the end of the CAL, my Book Sleeve Collection PDF patterns will be 10% off with the code, SUMMERREADINGCAL!
